I recently saw the movie Black Swan. It is a beautiful, yet intense movie. I was captivated just a few minutes in.
As I ballet dancer myself I really enjoyed the dance scenes. There are plenty of them and they are beautifully danced. On top of all the ballet, there are some great spiritual teachings in this movie.
The main character Natalie Portman who won an oscar for the amazing role shows how being whole, both black and white, is the only way to perfection.
I personally know how challenging it can be to embrace all aspects of ourselves. For several years I wouldn’t accept nor use the power of my so called black swan. I was afraid of her. Though nothing is more liberating than letting her loose.
In order to be great we have to embrace our true nature. Our whole being.
I found the movie so touching and intense that I almost couldn’t breath while watching it. And when it ended I was completely silent. I took my a couple of days to realize the depth of the many messages in the movie.
