Lessons in India

I was standing in line in front of the local shoe-shop, thinking of the shoes I would like to try. Then it was my turn, the shoemaker looked at me. He sat quiet and after some seconds he gave me that exact pair of shoes I was thinking of.

My husband, Calvin looked shocked. I smiled. And both of us found it a bit difficult not to laugh out loud. It was so clear that the shoemaker simply pick it up. Intuitively he knew or felt what pair of shoes I wanted. I didn’t say anything. Neither did he. I didn’t point nor look at the shoes. He just knew… and he knew my shoe size as well.

This intuitive shoe-shopping happened on one of my first days in Mysore, India. And as I just love to be around intuitive people, I guess this is one of the main reasons why I am so in love with this place. There is great spirit here. Most of the native people are very centered. They are what I call connected, and because of their connectedness they are operating with a high level of intuitive awareness.

I can study the native people for hours. Watching them walk, talk, sense and interact. Some are very centered, and it is as though they are looking directly into their own soul. Others are very grounded, present and focused. It is all very authentic and I learn a lot from it, as I am currently grounding myself in a deeper and more loving way.

It is fascinating how my intuition strengthens and develops as I am grounding more and more. As above, so below.
